GOTTA LITTLE LOCAL PAWNSHOP, HAD A OLY 9X19 FLAT TOP CARBINE FOR A WHILE, HAS A 'ATEC' (C-TEC???) OPEN HEADS UP SIGHT ON IT, ONE 30 RND MAG.....IT'S BEEN THERE FOR 2 YEARS WITH A 1K STICKER ON IT......THEY HAD IT DOWN AND WITH A 'SPECIAL, $800!!!' PRICE ON IT TODAY, I ASKED TO SEE IT, NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT IT, BUT THE COUNTER GUY OFFERED IT TO ME FOR $700, SO I COULD PROBABLY GET IT FOR $700 OTD, BUT THAT STILL SEEMS A BIT PRICEY FOR THE THING (BUT THEN I AM A CHEAP BASTARD0 AND 9X19 CARBINES HAVE NEVER THRILLED ME.....NO MB OR FH, SO PROBABLY A FOST BAN (IF THAT EVEN MATTERS ANY MORE...)  BUT I JUST WONDER WHAT ASYETH THE COLLECTIVE ON THE PRICE/DESIREABILITY?????

$755.00 all said and done..........

SNS Lower - $100
DPMS LPK - $45
TD Battlegrip - $30
ARMS #40 - $80
RRA Midlength 9mm upper - $404
RRA 9mm hammer - $25
RRA 9mm buffer - $15
Hahn block - $160
RRA 6 POS buttstock - $70
Norgon Ambi-catch - $72
Total (without magazines) = $1,001

Now, you could save some money by going with an A2, skipping the Norgon, TD BG and getting a cheaper block.  That alone would shave about $225 off the price ($776.)

Of course, the future plans call for:
Abrams middy rail  - $265
Aimpoint Comp ML2 - $340
ARMS 22M68 mount - $90

That will add another $695, bringing the total up to $1,696.  Add some magazines at $55 a pop, and the price just keeps climbing....

$700 OTD is decent even for a postie. Add a barrel thread $40 and collapsible stock $30-60.... and yer back in the asthetically appealing arena. for $800.. still not too bad for a new 9mm AR.

BigscruN & SCollins.... those rifles look mighty good

Scollins, what mags are you running at $55 ea? And Scrun, you need a mag block set to run Sten mags instead of those "sten with a chunk of channel on the back" mags you have now .

The mags I bought are genuine Colt 32 round mags (LE marked) that I bought from Botach last week.  Price was $50 each plus shipping.  I think the total for 4 mags was $213, so I just rounded up to $55.

I have a friend who ordered some of the polymer ProMags, which we'll torture test.  I hope they work well, because they are only $15!!

Thanks for the compliment Devin!  I just need to finish out my FNRL lower as soon as my Vltor shipment comes in.  Then I'll have more pics to post!

And I'm sure someone else has mentioned this-- I mean, I know it's part of the mystique of your handle and all, but I had to read your post four times before I understood what you wanted, and I'm a fairly literate guy-- will you for God's sake ease off the caps lock??? We KNOW it's part of your name already-- You're chasing off people who might otherwise try to help you!

Thank you, I'm eyeballing the Glock Receiver in the .40 version.  I might have to give them a call to see the availability of these rifles.

I'm pretty sure they're in stock; I was down there last week. If you call, ask for Skip.

If you're on the WA-CCW list you should recognize Carlos and his typing style.  It was also mentioned in the team forum.

It's an accepted fact of life that Carlos types in all caps out, just like MSTN does.

It's not like Carlos is typing anyones eyes out here, I think everyone can handle it.
