[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Olympia residents: there's some huge (Air Force?) jets flying overhead! You see 'em?

They've flown over three times now in about the space of 15min apart, really loud and low altitude. Their lights look like the wingspan of a C-17 or something bigger. Definitely jet propelled, not turbo props.

Maybe in a holding pattern for McChord.

Thats what I'm thinking they are. They cant be more than 800ft though! They're flying abnormally low, and McChord's so far north of here for that approach type of altitude.

There they go again!!! Two of them, right behind the other right directly over my house, turning north just as they pass. McChord must be tied up for some reason. Still, they're flying really low. Weird.

They're C-17's. I've seen lots of them down there.

C-135 (tanker variant =KC)

C-130

Navy P-3 ASW platform

C-5

Lately been seeing a lot of sports cars and hogs too

Not so common but sometimes seen

KC-10 and F-18s
