I just logged back on to start an official "chehalis shoot" thread with a poll attached.  I was thinking Dec 6-7 or 20-21.  When should TRG know what dates he's gonna be here?  That would be awsome if he made our little get together but I'm in for doing something during his visit whether or not it is a pit shoot.

The 6-7th I cannot make it.  I will be giving final exams until the 17th.

I could make the 18-21st.  Wonder if Holiday travel will be a problem that weekend?

The next good weekend is after New Year's  8-11.

Anyone know any smelly Seattle hippie chicks with armpit and leg hair we can hook TRG up with?

Make sure she is a blind-deaf-mute as well, because if my wife finds out, she will kill us all.

Yeah, that'll work too that way we don't have to chase him around the state to do it. Instead, he'll just come to us.

Shit,

Now I am nervous.  I forgot about the series of pics I made of the a Washington State shoot.

BTW, It looks like the week of January 5th-12th is my window.

TRG

ps.  Is it legal to wear body armor in Washington State?  I might need to pick some up.

Don't worry TRG, everything will be just fine.  Just leave your rainbow flag in Texas and we'll take care of Mitsubishi girl for you!

BTW,

This Texas boy needs a little advice.  January in Texas is kinda mild.  30-60 degrees.  No snow, no ice, a little rain now and then, but it ain't Washington.

What kind of clothing do I need to bring?

TRG

PS.  Of course, I'll bring my fuzzy thong, Jafo.

The weather here is very predictable that time of year.  It will either be cloudy and 55 degrees, sunny and 20 degrees, pouring down rain and 45 degrees, or a foot of snow and 30 degrees.  Your pick.  If you want a change of weather just drive one direction or another about 5 miles.

Where do you want to have the shoot? Alderwood Mall?

I'm willing to host the shoot from my place, I'd need to know relatively quick as I'd have to arrange for someone to cover my shift.

Personally,

I am easy about the shoot.  If you guys want to get together and shoot, that is great.  If you want to meet and just hang out, also good.

I can shoot anytime, so I don't want y'all to think that you need to put on a shoot to make me happy.

I am easy.  Just a meet and greet, some cold beer and BBq pit and we should do just fine.

They are non-native, like those russian pigs, there is no season and no limit.  It's considered a nuisance animal like opossum.

1GR,

Your boar's head has/had been laying in my pasture for a month.  Some hide and materials still on it.  About two days ago something carried it off.  I have been looking through the trees nearby to see if I can find it.

I had hoped to ship it to you soon, but...I dunno how far away it was carried.  I suspect a coyote carried it away.  They generally do not carry them far, but they sometime gnaw the nose off.

GR,

I think I found the upper portion of the head this morning.  I am not certain that it was yours, but the size of the upper teeth indicate that it most likely WAS your big boar.

I have a portion of the upper jaw and the upper cutters.  I wish I was kidding with you, but it looks like a hungry coyote ate the head.

I have no idea why they would wait morethan a month to eat the head.  I was certain it was past the point of edible, or I would have moved it to a safer location.

I'll keep looking for the rest of it.

Sorry, bud.  I really am.
