[ARCHIVED THREAD] - I said good-bye to my mom last night.

She has been sick for some time but it was still a hard thing to do. The whole family was there with her when she died. It really looks peacefull. But it also looks lonely. Even with everyone there she had to do the dieing by herself, it was very sad.

On the other hand she will not be suffering anymore. She has been a great mom to us kids and a wonderfull friend to alot of people. In her honor I ask that all of you look at someone you love today and tell them how much they mean to you. Remember that you never know when they will no longer be there for you. Thanks.

Ahh man. I am so sorry to hear. Please remeber how much it meant to her that you all were there by her side.

I have a mom with cancer and I know its painful to watch them go throu not knowing for a while.

I will keep you in my prayers

At least she had her family there by her side. And, like you said, she won't be sufferring anymore. My mom just went through the whole Breast & liver Cancer thing. It'll come back someday, so I'll have to go through what you did sometime in the not-too-distant future.

I'm glad you shared this with us, and I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family will be OK, especially for the next few difficult days.

My condolences to ya.
I know what you going thru.
I lost my wife to breast cancer almost 6 years ago. We had all the family together. One bad thing though was the day she died was/is her sister's birthday.
It gets easier each year, but I will never forget her courage. She never complained about what was happening to her with the chemo and radiation treatments. She worried about me more than herself.

Kevin,

In the short amount of months that I have known you and Connie I have really grown to like the both of you. We talked about death and family members the other night over dinner and we both got choked up. If you need anything, call. Whatever I can muster in my resources I will help.
I am saddened by your loss, but I know that in your heart you are happy to know that your mother is truly in a better place. God Bless, Good luck and know that you have a huge extended family here that will be more than willing to help.

Sorry to hear this. Keep her in your thoughts always. It takes a long time to get over it all, but with the help of friends and family, life gets better every day. My mom and I are very close and I dread the day that will eventually come.
