Well, by now you've heard the suggestions.  Your opinions?

It was mainly on the radio and will most likely be (if not already) in papers.  Sorry.  If I find any links, I'll post.

To sum it up, he's asking the Legislature to nullify/overturn some of the initiatives.  One was limiting class sizes, another was the pay raises the school employees get and I forgot the rest/other.  Those stick in my head.

What do you expect?  It's not like Washington actaully listens to voters.  Especially Western Washington.  Need we bring up the stadium that stands despite being voted down two times?  People wonder why there is the sentement that a person's vote doesn't really count.
I do understand that washington is having trouble financially as a whole state, but if it was voted on by the people, then it is not optional, it should become *top priority*!

I think it's come down to the Gov choking itself out due to overzealous spending, just like Kali.  Let it choke.  They want to raise tax's and fee's (another name for tax's) and introduce an income tax when half the state workers are WAY over paid and shoot paperclips all day long!
I say we keep voting out any tax increases and such, and let the gov cut out it's own fat.

Oh yeah....Screw locke.

What I want to know is, has the Gov'ner or any of our elected officals taken a pay cut? Have THEY cut down on the perks that they receive, on their retirment, did they get their pay increase for 2002? Because I know that as a state worker, I sure didn't get my cost of living increase nor will I get one for 2003. Let the bastards in OLY take the first cuts out of their pockets before they start talking about cuts anywhere else!!!!!
