I'm going to be in Washington, PA for a few days next week for work. Will be staying in Meadowlands.

Looking for recommendations for good places to eat. Good diner for breakfast? Someplace for a steak and a beer for dinner?

Thanks!

I guess no one in that area goes out to eat.

Solomon's off Jefferson Ave is a decent place to eat. We don't typically eat out but when we do, it's our go to. My wife also loves Shorty's for a quick lunch but I'm not a fan.

its all chain stuff around there. There are several Places inside the casino there as well, but I haven't tried any of them.
Angelos is decent for Italian.
Copper Kettle over on 40 is pretty decent also.

There's a Primanti's near the casino as well as Whitehorse Brewing.  You can order from Primanti's while you drink beer in Whitehorse.  There's Pig & Fire (bbq) just North of the Racetrack/US19 intersection.  I, personally, don't like it but YMMV.  Napoli's and Beer Bacon and Bourbon are in the strip on the Eastside of that same intersection.  If you want to get out that immediate area, in McMurray there's Juniper Grill which is pretty good.  Bean Curd if you like Chinese.  Rusty Gold Brewing is in Canonsburg which has decent food and beer.

Hell, there's always Sheetz near the hotel

I forgot about the Copper Kettle. During Fuhrer Wolfs shutdown,  I believe they were one of the few places that told Wolf to get fucked until he sent in the Gestapo to shut them down. You could also venture down 40 a little farther to Tradesmens. They have pretty good wings. There's also the Century Inn down this way. Haven't eaten there since they rebuilt after the fire but the food used to be good plus it's a pretty cool historical site. Depending on how far out of Washington you want to go, there's Paci"s and Rye"s over in Centerville and Lagerheads in Coal Center. They all have decent food but they're about 30 min East of Washington down 40.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Went to  Primanti's near the casino on Tuesday evening and had their famous sandwich. It was OK, but the cole slaw was kinda weird. More of a vinegar dressing than the cole slaw I'm used to.
