Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Taking a transfer to Fairfield Pa. Where should I move the family?

Hi, I am taking a transfer for my job that will be near Fairfield in Adams County. My wife doesn't work and we have 2 children ages 8 and 2, good public schools are important. My wife likes the suburbs but I like rural living. Is there anyone here from that area that can recommend the better areas to move to?

Update: areas within 20 miles of Fairfield will be considered.

In Adams Co. maybe Gettysburg.   In Franklin Co. maybe Waynesboro.

Kind of rural down there.
