You heard wrong.

I keep a copy of a letter from the PGC in my hunting license holder stating that there is nothing saying you can't use a suppressor while hunting in PA.

ETA: I've been hunting squirrels suppressed for years, and hope to be hunting deer suppressed this coming season.

I've got a letter written by the game commission saying that it is in fact legal to hunt with them in Pa. If you write them, they will tell you the same. I'll see if I can find it, I used to have it saved but I moved jobs, not sure I still have it on my laptop.

I have a friend that works for the game commission. I will have him give me something to keep with me in case something ever happens.
