We have arranged to bring in Greg "Sully" Sullivan from Defensive Edge to conduct a two day AR15/M16 Armorers Class. Sully has quite a reputation on this board and provides excellent training. Details as follows:

Semi, Burst, and Full Auto Parts and Conversions
Complete Armoring Disassembly / Assembly
Barrel Replacement
Cleaning and Maintenance
Sight and Distance Considerations
Ballistic Issues
Barrel Twist, Length, and Choices
Gas System
Parts Interchangability, including Brands
Headspace
Firing Pin Protrusion
Trigger Jobs
Chamber Inspection and Polishing
Accessories and Customizing
Tool Options and Selection
Iron Sights (A1/A2/A3) Disassembly/Reassembly
Optics
Etc

All tools, manuals, and anything else that is necessary is supplied. We will provide rifles with prior arrangements so we know how many to bring. We prefer that students bring their own weapon systems to get familiar with their own configuration and modifications, plus this allows the time for a good thorough cleaning and inspection, plus we can replace and repair any parts necessary. This is a very intensive course that we cover in 2-days, so be prepared to get a lot of hands on knowledge.

All that successfully complete this course will receive Armorer's Certification, and will also have an opportunity to purchase a SLR15 rifle at a special Armorer's rate.

Law Enforcement Agencies are deploying or are in the process of issuing carbine rifles to both Field Supervisors, Field Officers, and Tactical Units. With that comes the need of having qualified Armorers or Rangemasters to service and maintain these weapons on a regular basis, as well as teach officers in the employment and use of these firearms. This course covers all M16/AR15 type weapons systems made. Armorers will be Factory Certified in the proper maintenance, care, and repair of these weapons systems, including semi-auto and select-fire trigger systems. Instructors will be Factory Certified to teach other Peace Officers in all aspects of the use and care of these weapon systems. This program follows the Manufacturer’s guidelines and is taught by FBI and NRA Certified Instructors.

We may also be doing a 1-day Shotgun Armoring Course on Monday following the AR15/M16 course. Cost for the 1-day Shotgun Armoring Course is $150. The Shotgun Armoring Course will cover the Remington 870, Mossberg 500/590, and Benelli M1-90 series. And we are also working on possibly adding a day or two of shooting in as well, still awaiting range confirmation before we know for sure.

$150. held on Tuesday, November 20th at Adams County Sport Handgunners Range in Adams County, just off of 15. Need approx 200rds of bird, 20+ of buck and 10 of slug. Run time is about 8 hrs.
