I know a bunch of you guys shoot at W&W, and we all had a little concern as to the state of the range.

I contacted the folks at W&W today to see if they were going to open up again this year.

They stated that "Our plans are to open April 1st.  We are getting the place ready as we speak."

Good news for all of us Thought I'd let you know.

Any news on their long term status? I had "heard" that they have sold, are going to sell, sold some parts..... to a builder.

They were sold to a land developer over a year ago.  He's been trying to get approval to build on the land but it has not been approved yet.

That's sad news.....there are fewer and fewer places...

There are already several of us that are looking into buying a few hundred acres in PA.   Hopefully, someday... one of us will be opening our own range.

IMHO W&W is a potential gold mine.  I still can't believe it was run into the ground.

KJoe,

It's outside Quakertown by about 15 minutes North West.  Less than an hour from you..  Maybe a lot less.

The other address is for down the road about 2 miles, the rifle range is located on the right about one mile off route 663. And it is in Lehigh Co.  Look for the first big rock setting on its' edge, bare right on to Janes Lane.

I want to sight in my IOR that I got on my FAL.   I need to do some reloading, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to pump out enough rounds.   If I could find someplace close to pick up some Federal 168gr in the short term I'd be more inclined to go.

I'll be there 9am-1pm if I can go.

It was 500 yards last year. I assume it's the same this year?
