Usually one of you other guys posts these. I didn't see it so I figured I'd make sure you all knew about it.
I'm going to shop for some ammo bargains, if there are any!

My Dad and I are going. I missed the last one. We usually go on sunday, but we both work sunday this year, and tommorow is their (mom and dads) anniversary.
I got my money lined up and counted out, and I'm considering borrowing a hand cart from work.
I'll be shopping for a Handgun, some bits and pieces for my AR, and ammo.
I lived in the area for about 3 years. I usually run into a couple guys I know from down that way.

Hoping to go on Saturday.  Not looking for anything in particular; just haven't been to a show in a year or so.

How far away is parking from the event?

A significant walk.

It depends on which hall they have it in. The last show I went to was in the new hall, cruised the lot for a few minutes and found a spot about 2 rows from the sidewalk. Even then it's a bit of a walk. If the show's in the old hall in back I suggest renting a golf cart- that's a walk!!

Also, if you're handicapped/disabled you can be dropped right in front and wait inside the door for your ride.

I think it's the usual 9am - 5pm, maybe 4pm.

I can't wait.  These shows are usually pretty decent.  I'm sure I'll be there both days.  One to browse and one to buy.

Dumb question, maybe, but why browse one day and buy the next? You're missing out on some goodies that way. Lots of things sell out the first day.

Opens 900 both days. Usually charge $5.00 to park and $8.00 admission. Can take a couple hours to look at everything.

 I'm Going on Saturday.
The earlier you go - the better the parking.

Hey Guys,

Just incase anyone wants to mark it on their calendar, there is also other shows on May 6th-7th, September 9th-10th and December 9th-10th. The Farm Show schedule lists them as the Eastern National Gun, Knife and Military Show, the same one as the upcoming one on March 18th-19th.

Farm Show Complex 2006 Event Schedule

P.S.
If I remember correctly, the Eastern National show is usually the big one right? I know there used to be a smaller one thrown in the mix, but I can't remember if it went by a different name or if it just depended on the time of year. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Show report for those who might go Sunday.

LOTS of ammo available, but sales seemed pretty brisk. Q3131 and Q3131A available for about 25c a rd. XM193 from about 23c to 26c a rd, American Eagle 20c a rd. Saw the new Serbian M193 type ammo, as well as Wolf and some S&B.

Some 7.62x39 ammo there; Wolf, Silver Bear, some Cheetah (guy only had one case and was selling by the 40-rd box), and a few cases of Golden Tiger.

I even saw some of the now-rare 5.45x39 ammo.

AMMO is available, but expect to pay more for it.

AR mags, so-so selection, but prices have come down some. AK mags, no good deals ($10+ for mags with light rust).

LOTS of AKs, lots of ARs, less Jerky, jewelry, and not as much of the yard sale crapola.

Found the Garand parts I needed.  Passed on ammo but did pick up some 308 brass to load my own.  Pretty decent show overall.

I don't pay much attention to class-3 stuff, but yes there were a couple dealers as I recall.

Plenty of suplus ammo, but at higher prices.

Anyone looking for  .308 ,a guy is selling
Salt Lake .308 for $105 for 500 rounds loose
in a steel .50 Cal container.
He had a crap load of it.

Anyone looking for surplus foreign .308 ,whatever was
at a decent price was gone today.

Best price on South African .308 was $199 + tax for a
1280 round case.

I did say WAS you'll notice.

There wasn't much of it anyway.
Not enough to make the tail end of my Grand AM drag on
the street.
Surplus is going to be available in the future, but I think much will be
Salt Lake .Which means more $$$$.

You .223 guys-
Your ammo was everywhere.
From all over the world ,in quantity.

Also I saw quite a few 1,000 round cases of Wolf 7.62 X 39 mm.

Cheapest was $159 /case.
You'll be paying more, but it is available.

Looking for Eotechs ?
Look closely ,their in 5 spots.
I picked up a February 06 production 552.A65 Rev.F for $390 ,with
extra Lithium Energizers.
Saw the 512 for $340 .Both close to sold out at these prices.

Is it worth the drive from Allentown on Sunday?

Went Saturday morning. PArking was about 100 yards from the front sidewalk- not bad going in, but carrying stuff out was a bit of a hike. Bought a NIB Beretta 92FS, some ammo for it, some Wolf 223, a pack of AR stripper clips, a holster, and got a deal on 2 AR and one Beretta mag for 3/4 of the asking price.
Of course there was beef jerky, some kind of super-wonder adhesive being demonstrated by a very pretty girl , and a couple tables of tool and household items.
Wasnt a bad show- a lot of other ones Ive gone to had the entire hall open, and they were only using about 2/3 of the hall yesterday.

I went today, I'd personally call it a mediocre show compared to other H'burg shows I've been to.  Saw all the same guns that have been carted to the last 8 shows around the state, plus a couple new ones.

I did score some Ranger T ammo in .40 and .45, which was a nice bonus.  I also finally broke down and bought the Kimber Desert Warrior.  Sweet gun, not sure how else to say it...

Was that the one marked at $1029.50 ?

I passed on it and bought a SIG!

you're welcome.

All I bought was 3 boxes of Fiocchi 7.65 ammo for my Walther PPK. I met a good friend and gave him $100.00 towards a 1960 S&W Mod 37 airweight I bought from him.

I didn't see any bargains for firearms, and there seemed to be a few less vendors that usual.
Still, I had a decent time.
