I will be going to Branch Valley for the first time to shoot tomorrow morning! From the tour I took, it looks like it should be a great place to shoot. They seem to be black rifle friendly. I don't think they are too keen on rapid fire. Probably the same type of rules as W&W. I will report in tomorrow!

You will not have any problem with evil looking rifles at that range as long as you handle them in a responsible manner and adhere to the rapid fire rule. No mag dumps, no hip shooting, no hits anywhere but inside the impact area.
There is an exception for the rapid fire rule and that is if you are training for competition. Proof can be in the form of an NRA classification for Highpower, Action pistol, NRA Bullseye etc... It still comes down to the discretion of a range officer or board member should you be challenged or questioned. John |

Back from my maiden voyage to BVF&G. What a great time. Met a good group of people. My rate of fire was no different than W&W and no one seemed to mind. Everyone around me behaved in a safe manner as you would expect. I do believe I've made the right choice going to BVF&G.

Great to know, thanks! Drove past the club over the weekend and the location is perfect for us. The next two weekends are booked then I'm off to Asia for a few weeks so I do not think I can use your guest pass before the end of March. Much appreciated anyway. I'll be contacting them this week to start the membership process. They had a sign out saying that they are accepting new members. Does one need a referral? Dave |

Yes you need a sponser at BV. Also you need to be at the membership meeting which is the 1st Tues of every month. They start around 7pm and run till about 9 or so. I am a member at Branch but not very active there. Some of the membership requirements may have changed in the last few years but I think it is pretty stright forward.

A PA CCW negates the referal requirement. John is right however that applications are accepted in person the first Tuesday of the month. Enjoy your trip. Regards, Gary |
