Yea I'm here too. Was talking to dealer today at York show and he indicated that the Carlyle Fish and Game club is a very liberal place to shoot. We just need someone who is a member to get something arranged.

As most of us know, there are two Public shooting ranges in York County.
Among the Rules posted, they seem to say that groups may reserve said range for their own use.  Has anybody ever tried to see what you have to do to reserve the range?  And if so, does the Three Round Limit still apply?  And the prohibition on Full-Auto?
I know we’d have to go the Fish and Game Commission.  How hard that would be, I don’t know.  What we’d have to do I don’t know either.  But I think it’s something to look into.

The 9th is Mrs Ops birthday, can we reschedule?  And as far as shoting on a public range, the three round rule always applies.  If the darn hay ever gets cut we can blast away here.  We may be able to run a light duty tactical shoot here also.  Ops

Sunday I was in Atlantic City.  In the First Sunday of any month, I’m a nice little perv... I mean good little boy and I take my Mother to Atlantic City. This time around one of her sisters accompanied her to the Slots.
Thank you Taj Hahal and the 777 coin jackpot.  We ate on your payout very nicely. And there were other Jackpots too.
Monday I recuperated from the drives.
Tuesday I worked around the house.
Wednesday I got back to work to find out that I missed out on Hooters.  Now I know why we were so lucky with the slots.[:\]

There’s always a Next Time for Hooters.  But for the payouts we had...  We were never that lucky before.

Welllllllllll....

There are those “Peep Shows”, on Atlantic Avenue.  If I got that street named correctly.  I have Naughtier playing cards than some of the publications for sale around there.
The nightlife in Atlantic City is as dead as an Anti’s brain function.  You really have to go out of town for anything not connected to the casinos.

In short, stick to PA and Philly.  I think there’s more action on Broad Street than there is in downtown AC.

I'm available July 21,22.
Then 28, 29.
After those dates I can't do anything until August 11 or so.
In any case, I need to know where and when no later than 6:00 AM Saturday of whatever Weekend prior to the Get-Together.
For instance, Hooters on July 21.  If we are going to go there, I need to know for sure no later than 6:00 AM on the 19.  I'm shooting with somebody that day so I can't make it that day.  But I CAN make the 21.  OR the 22.
I've already mentioned why I can't do Wednesday through Friday nights.  But as long as it isn't the First Monday or Tuesday of the month, I might manage something.

I hope.

On Saturday morning, the 25, from 8:30 until 10:00, or until I run out of ammo I’ll be shooting my M16A1 on both semi and Full Auto at the Mount Joy Sportsmen’s Association.
If you are a member of the club bring a loaded magazine and you can join in on the fun.
Everybody else will just have to watch. [>Q] Sorry.[>(]

After the shooting is done I’m off to the York Fairgrounds and the Gun Show.  I might need a few cases of ammo to replenish my stocks.

Where was everybody?  At the Gun Show?
There was Sir Liberty76, A Range Officer from Clubs’ Board, and little ol’ me.
Club Regs say that if you shoot Weapons on Automatic Fire, you have to get close to the 200 yard backstop.  Considering how widespread my Mac shoots on Rock & Roll, it makes sense.  So we shot from about 50 yards from the backstop.
I laid a blue plastic tarp on the ground, placed the equipment out on it, (mags & mags & more ammo on stripper clips for reloads, targets, can for the used brass, etc) and we were set for some serious fun.
Liberty76 brought a Bushy carbine.  Considering how fast an upper can get after a magazine or two, his Bushmaster was the only reason we were able to shoot so much in the time we had available.  Two, sometimes three magazines would be emptied.  On with a pair of gloves he brought.  Swap the upper receiver and the NFA bolt carrier, and we’d be ready for the next couple of magazines.  Of course the targets would be checked after every magazine, but the uppers would still get very hot very quickly.  And they cooled off only so fast.
And the Clubs’ Range Officer got a few magazines off as well.  It was his duty to make sure we stayed within our Time and make sure nobody shot while we had the range reserved.  As a couple of cars drove up to the rifle benches while we waited for the uppers to cool down a bit, he earned his mag dumps.
In all we shot 630 rounds of .223/5.56 ammo.
I’m also wondering when Liberty76 will post those picture he took.  And I’m also wondering if he’s going to frame his first Full Auto target.
Looking at a calendar, the earliest I’ll be shooting Full Auto again is January 17 of Next Year.  And even then I really don’t know for sure if I’ll reserve that date or not.  Ask me again in December.
But Liberty76, if you DO join me, next time hold the butt of the rifle HARD into your shoulder.  That plus a firm grip on the front and you should get smaller groups that way.

For JoePA:
For being a No-Show.

H110 has been known to partially ignite unless loaded to about 40,000 CUP.  I used to use it for 357 Mag loads until I had a squib with a 38+P+ load.  Maybe use another powder instead of H110.  Man that has to suck, at least it was just the barrel and front sight.  Ops
Link Posted: 11/1/2003 1:05:44 PM EDT
[#45]
Ops.... H110 is an odd powder, but i like how it burns. i think H110 burns best when it's  slightly compressed - thought i was okay with my loads... apparently not!!!  oh well, live and learn.  i've been using Lil-Gun as a H110 replacement in a few loads - same performance with apparently lower pressures.

the 300/221 barrel has been cut to salvage 7.1" and a Form 1 has been submitted...  gonna make a "quiet one"...

Looking at a map of Pa, I have this following suggestion:

Take a look at Interstate 99.  Then look at where you live in relation to it.  If you live east of 99, then you are Central.  If you are west of 99, then you should be considered West.  If you are below where 99 T’s into the Turnpike, draw a line from the Interstate down to the border.  The same rule should then apply.

If you think that is fair, go for it.  If you think that is unfair, I will listen to a better argument.

Didn't know anyone was in the Lewisburg area...

Bucknell University student here... very willing to meet for some shooting next semester.
I can add a KISS Bushy 20'' to the mix, possibly an HK-91 clone (If she behaves herself during some mods this summer).

Shoot me back an IM if anyone is interested.  Norry Gun Club member... bout ten minutes from Lewisburg.
