Anyone use anything like this?  I keep hearing that ~50% is where you want to be.  I'm <20%  Considering putting a small dish of water in there and see how that goes.

You'll never get to a constant 50% RH here in the desert. Low is ok as long as it's constant. Cycling  moisture % will crack dry wood. Keep your wood stocks oiled and forget about it. Better dry than rust. IME, monsoon season is the only time to worry about moisture content. JMHO YMMV.

They're gun stocks, not guitars. Unless you're keeping cigars in your gun safe, just keep the stocks well oiled and forget about adding moisture.

Adding moisture to a safe with metal in it sounds like a bad idea to me.
