Rio Salado's Full-Auto division is pleased to announce the 2010 Arizona State Subgun & Pistol Caliber Carbine Match, to be held on Saturday October 30th at the Rio Salado Sportsman's Club range in Mesa AZ. This year's match is titled "The Great Hollywood Smackdown", and will comprise seven action movie themed, run-n-gun stages. Theoretical round count is 280 (but I'm gonna bring a lot more due to my undisciplined trigger finger). Sign up is at 7am, and first shots down range will be at 8am sharp.
To get a feel for what you can expect, check out the video from the 2009 match on
YouTube.
After the success of last year's match, the 2010 match will be pre-squaded and strictly limited to the first 70 shooters that enter, so be sure to sign up early to avoid disappointment. Match fee is $35 for entries postmarked on/before October 8th, after which (if slots are still available) the fee jumps to $45. The match is open to submachineguns and semi-auto carbines firing pistol caliber ammo (up to .30 Carbine lead core ammo is OK).
