Need to be death penalty candidates.

Quoted: Maybe it's just me, but in light of the extremely recent death of Officer Hite, the title just seems kind of offensive.

I don't take it as funny at all.  It is a simple fact that John McCain made the statement that illegal aliens are "just here to do the work that American's won't"  He supported the statement by throwing it in the face of union members that not one of them would pick lettuce or some such produce even if he offered them a sum of money such as $25.00 an hour.  

It is now repeated each and every time an illegal murders someone or commits a violent crime, that individuals that are here, breaking our laws are just doing it because Americans won't.

There are three federal prisons in Arizona and each one of them has one third or more of their population consisting of illegal Mexican criminals doing time for murder, drug smuggling, rape and other violent crimes.  There are a number of privately run contract prisons in Arizona with thousands of illegal Mexican criminals serving time for lessor crimes.  These individuals are not doing time for simple illegal entry and picking produce.  Individuals arrested for illegal entry are voluntarily deported unless they have been detained repeatedly.

I talked to some DEA agents last year who had brought some detainees in for booking.  The back of their vehicle was loaded down with bales of marijuana.  They were disappointed that the combined weight of the drugs was in excess of 250 pounds.  If the individuals had been caught with less than 250lbs the DEA would have simply had the border patrol give them a ride to the border and released them.

The US Attorney of the Tucson district at that time refused to prosecute illegals with amounts less than 250lbs.  A US citizen with a minimal amount would be subject to prosecution though.  I believe the prosecution amount was raised to a higher quantity recently though, possibly 500 lbs for Mexican citizens.  

In 2002, an individual from a small town in Michigan, where I grew up and went to school was murdered here on the Arizona border.  We went to the same high school and my brother went to school with his sister.  

I don't think it is funny at all, that an individual from Arizona who is running for president can be such an idiot to not see that a major crime problem exists here on the border of his own state.
