Do you remember when my son "Swept" your head at the  Table Mesa shoot ??? (2002 ? )

I only learned about it through Garryowen later that day...Yikes...was my feeling!!!

Fast forward to this day....My son called me last night...( He's 0331 Machine Gunner )...

This is his statement..."I fired live rounds over the heads of the 0311's (Infantry )"

All I could think of was, He's getting paid to do this now

Well I guess we were (still are?)all young and dumb.

Usually taking a piss in the desert is one of those rare, peaceful moments whence you are one with nature.  Not so much when you're swept with an SKS.

I know he felt like shit about the whole thing, even and as young as he was.  With any luck, it was a life long lesson for him.

Tell him if we ever meet, the beer's on me.  He's got much larger testicles than I do.
