I'm wondering what life is like there.  Weather, housing costs, rents, utilities, people, etc.

Answers:

Weather - Hot. Damn hot
Housing costs - What does an RV cost? That's all that is there, except for trailers.
Rent - see above
Utilities - Average utilities, except for a/c in the summer. See weather above. Easy to see high 3-digit electric bills
People - lots of Snowbirds, aka winter visitors; not much a local population
