Well I going to be moving out of CA and back into the United States (AZ).  How are the laws on carrying in AZ?

Open carry legal. Heed the posted signs upon entry of establishments. Get CCW if interested and you will learn all about it in the CCW class.
No grovelling to the po po for a permit like in Kalifornia. Glad to hear you've come to your senses.
