Its sad that anyone dies as a direct result of a firearm, but shooting a sign, destroying property and not following safety rules is not very smart. I feel for the family, but on the other hand, you have to wonder why more people dont have common sense. Ive seen a guy get hit in the "HEAD" from a slug that was shot at a metal plate during a competition(they changed that in a hurry) he was lucky it only bruised him for a week. Bottom line " Dont be a dumbass"

The news coverage was weird too! They didn't demonize the gun or the act of vandalism. The portrayed it as a last hoorah before going back to school that just went tragic.

I would like a link to. I have on several occasions caught some richochets from metal plates and metal target frames at under 10 yd. shooting distance. None of them have ever drawn blood. I tell you what it is quite scary when it does happen.
