Whats cool is the guys who are HAM operators and are Storm Spotters for the National Weather Service under their SKYWARN program. We get uber secret phone numbers to call into NWS and report bad stuff on the horizon, and we also hear it as it's going down by phone and radio...

In Prescott it seems that the first monsoonal rains happen on the fourth of July when I'm sitting unprotected in the stands watching the rodeo!!!

Rain in Spain,but mostly on the plains.

Further:

Monsoon season to kick off in the valley Jul. 10.
Three days behind the average.

Hereford/Palominas/Sierra Vista area reporting in........

got heavy duty cloud cover thats moved in from over the Huachuca Mtns, pressure dropping ....forecast says 96/73 Isolated T-storms.  if it actually starts to rain....someone owes me some money!!  i just washed my truck earlier!! LOL.

the temp here in Palominas/Hereford has dropped 13 degrees, and the humidity has gone from 8% to 18% in the last hour and ten mins....barametric pressure stabilizing.

see above post.....i AM southeast of Tucson.....we've gotten a few sprinkles...but it seems to be breaking up just a hair for the moment, but there are still some clouds all around us that look like they could dump some rain on us.

no rain in sight for southeastern AZ (Palominas/Herford/Sierra Vista) at the moment, its just windy as hell, not as bad now....starting to calm down...but i'd guess earlier the winds were gusting up to at LEAST 35+mph.  maybe this is the calm before the storm....we'll see...stay tuned.

temp. had dropped 5 degrees in the past 20 mins, pressure falling, humidity rising w/ large cloud buildup towards the Huachuca Mtns.  we may get more than the few sprinkles we got a few days ago today boys!

The temp has dropped another 10 degrees since my last report, and we're up to 18% humidity from 9%, preasure still dropping .......large dark clouds just to the northwest of me.  still no rain though...but its coming.
