It's 106 right now. One station said it made it to 111. Went out to Table Mesa this morning before it got too hot. Plinking with my 10/22 to start with. Between the first few shots I keep on hearing a rattle to my left in the brush not too far away. After a couple of minutes he left. Fun day. I like it here.

ETA I did have my 870 with me but the snake left and I didn't need it.

Just wait untill the 113 to 120 degree range. Then you'll know what we are talking about. When it gets around 115 then you can come help me work on A/C's. Hop on some roofs and climb in some attics.

Ya I grew up in the Chicago area. Back in the mid-eighties I was playing music out of the KC Kansas area. Went home for Christmas. It was like -30 degrees the hole trip up there. Had a '65 Ford van with almost no heater. Me and the X had a dog in each of our laps just trying to stay warm. Before the trip we put cardboard in the front of the van to try and insulate it. Lost the generator in Iowa. Had to crawl under the beast to put a new one in. At night we had to take the battery out of the van and bring in it inside just so it would crank the engine in the morning. Anyway got up there and a couple of days later the temp' hit 18 degrees. Felt like a heat wave. My sister and I went out horseback riding.

To be young and pain free again.
