when do the polls open?  the only time I got to vote, it was a absentee ballot for the last presidential election and I was deployed.

There are early voting places in Tucson where you can go and vote in person now if you don't have an absentee ballot and can't or don't want to vote on election day.

One is at: Wilmot Library, 530 N. Wilmot Road, Oct. 13 to Oct. 31, varying times

Also: City Clerk Support Services, 800 E. 12th St.,  to Oct. 31, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday through Friday), and Saturdays Oct. 18 and 25, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

or City Hall, 225 W. Alameda St., First floor,  to Oct. 31, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday through Friday)

When you send in that ballot don't forget to put enough postage on it or it may not end up even getting there.

Was that the John Prine concert at the Orpheum about three years ago? Todd Snider opened up. I was with the wife in the balcony.

No, it was at the old Union Hall (now Dodge Theater), Iris  Dement was the opening act.

John Prine is some dope smoking old hippie.  He was a very influential song writer back in the day, he wrote a lot of stuff I'm sure you've heard, but maybe performed by other people.  His own style is kind of a folksy-country-rock.

He had same graet tunes, but I'd bet a buck he's got a big fat Kerry/Edwards yard sign out front of his place.
