Think you can do that, you ball-less, bullshit-spewing, back-stabbing, tin-soldier wannabe?

You just don't have all the facts....

Well, if that is really from the  "rangemaster" then it's a good thing I didn't renew my membership.  The owner either boots the jerk or he will have to shut down the range and gunshop because no one will pay to shoot there.  He can always fall back on the trucking company.

pretty f^^^ing hillarious if you ask me.  richard is off the deep end and needs to find a new line of work OR mellow out and be a real person. i personally like to give people a 2nd chance but this RM has run off plenty of people, from what i hear.

i really don't see an end to this anytime soon, good luck BG223.

So why the heck hasn't Rick fired him?

Now I am not one for stupid irrational non-thinking shit from crazy-ass range nazis from whom think the shooting world is just pulling a trigger and being accurate, but that post made me laugh.

And THAT is exactly why I never bought a membership there and don't shoot there any more.
But hey, plenty of wide open spaces and a nice new range south of there.
I see an even bigger parking lot in desert trails future.

hey azex,
this is a range master at a range here in tucson. i had a little confrontation with him a week ago about my shooting habits. he took issue with me pulling the trigger once every second or so but i got it worked out with the owner.

what was R-guns? was it in tucson or phoenix? that name sounds familiar.

Toooo         Much           Drama           !!!!!!   Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I just wanna go there to shoot my AR.

(And I wanna strangle the bench rest guy that takes 30 minutes to put 3 shots on one of his 8 targets. If I have broken out lunch made a few phone calls or am taking a nap, it may be a hint that I would like to call a line break and look at my target)

hey.., mellow out OK ?
the BR man is a real decent fellow & is very flexible, just talk to him, he knows better than anyone, his shooting sport is time consuming, i have blown away over 500 rounds on some days he is there, i run thru about 5, 20 rnd mags between his target checks.

Oh, brother.

Once again I find myself thankful for public land without range nazis and "I'm a board member!" egos.

Considering buying 40 acres for shooting,

Mike

He is actually a good guy and quite knowledgable, and I'm too polite to interrupt him mid group. We just seem to have identical schedules (or he lives there). I've started doing shooting drills, 10 standing, 10 prone, 10 crouching etc... etc... , and I wanna check my targets more now.

(I gotta invest in a spotting scope to see the 0.223 holes in my targets at 100 yards)

Has anybody ever asked Richard to remove one of those darn benches? They get in the way when the range is crowded and you want to shoot prone, crouching, standing, etc...

Sir,

Your rapier wit hath stung me like no other blade before.  I must concede your linquistic capabilities are far superior to mine.  With your stunning comeback of "I know you are but what am I?", you put me to shame, sir.  To shame.

Originally I chalked the lunatics rantings to his being from Tucson.  But it seem from some of the other post that there are actually decent people in the Tucson area.

i'll be at the range friday (hopefully, work permitting) to shoot this one. not that i'm looking for trouble, i just want to shoot. i wounder if that guy with his bolt action whatcha-ma-dinger will be there with his chrono and wind socks. i just wait for the wind socks to blow sideways, then i can shoot without worring about wheather or not i am disturbing his concentration.

mr_h,

What time you going to be there?  I live 5 minutes from the range at Rita Ranch.  I've got to shoot some guns I haven't tried out since I had some mods done.

Coming on board to the conversation late in the game, and I must have missed something here.  I have been a member and shooting at Desert Trails in Tucson for awhile and took the CCW class there.  I have always been impressed with the folks at the range.  Rick and Richard are the best!! Very willing to teach and help.  I appreciate their careful management of the grounds.  I always feel safe shooting there.

Lots of help and solid experience.  Check out Richard's class.  One of the few using PowerPoint slides and very interesing sessions.  You will be impressed.

But I don't have any testosterone to spill, so maybe I just can't get excited about being told how to do the right thing?
For anyone out there who has been following this diatrive, don't believe all that you have read from these guys.  Check out the range youself.

I think the fact that it's nickname is "Deserted Trails" shows that many have checked it out and went elsewhere.
