The store is fairly large, about the size of the Sports Authority, but from what I understand they don't sell balls, bats, sneakers or those cute little lycra bike shorts. Just Hunting, Camping, and Fishing supplies. The website says they offer more than 1,000 firearms. O.M.G! I must have died and gone to Heaven! The best part is it's only about six blocks from my house. I wonder if they'll let me take a shopping cart home if I don't find any gasoline by then?

Over a 1000 guns!

I saw the reloading stuff on the side of the building when I was at Costco and that got me excited.

What are their prices like?  I hope they didnt take a page from Arizona Sportmans book.

Opening tomorrow!
That is good news.  One of the patrons here was saying they did FFL transfers real reasonable (another location).

I will be asking them if they will transfer my AR10 that I am getting as part of the AR15.com SEBR.  Seems every local shop that I though was a nice place to spen money at does not want to do the transfer for me.  If Sportsman's Warehouse will do this then the other places will be removed from my list of places to support.   you would think anyone would be willing to make $20 or $30 for a simple transfer involving no money.  Think again.

Alright, this here is a VERY top secret document.  When you're at a gunshow table, you can score your "customers" by this guide.

I didn't do the upstairs either.  I didn't notice the black rifles.  I've got a carbine class I'm taking this weekend, so it will be Monday before I can go back.

Jeff is the shit!!!  He always treated me amazingly well well on trades and seems to have awesome prices on new and used guns.  His ammo prices were great last I checked too.

As for the transfer, I think tfod is correct with $20.

Went to Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday afternoon.  One nice place indeed! Good selection of handguns, rifle and shotguns, but they only had four (4) AR-15's in the rack.  Hell some of the guys here can beat that!  I fell in love with a Ruger No.1 in 375 H&H, I tried not to drool on it.

Good selection of reloading stuff, truly amazing supply of ammo all out in the aisles where you can see it.

And riflescopes, the biggest selection in Arizona (that I have ever seen).  I did not see and ACOG or EOTech's, but I was just rapid browsing.

They agreed to do a transfer for me without hesitation for a $25 fee which is fine by me so my SEBR AR10 will be coming there first.

Supposed to be a Grand Opening next Saturday, Aug 30th.  I wonder if there will be some smokng deals?????

I was there this morning for the opening ceremonies!

Speechs, lots of pats on the backs for the Vendors and staff. No door PRIZES, WTF.

The owner let his lil girl cut the ribbon.

I fondled 2 ARs, one was an M4. A new soldier took apart the Bushy M4. He was really upset that a NEW on the RACK Bushy was filthy!! Really dirty!! He took the bolt apart and pointed out that the bolt face was pitted and corroded... I saw it. WTF. A new BUSHY, dirty as hell, with a corroded bolt. He walked away from it. His mom seemed like she was gonna buy it for him, but he said forget it. I would have too.

Other than that.... pretty cool place. 4000 bolt guns, 5 ARs, 1 tommy and 1 M1A.

Dirty as in it had been shot? Or there was oil all over it? Pitted and corroded!? Wtf? And he was a "soldier"? Why would his mom be buying it for him then?

BS-ometer is ticking a bit.

great store, bought a new gun safe there today.
They have pretty good prices on safes.
i got a Stack-On GSX-420 for 649.00. Its a big safe, had to rent a trailer and appliance dolly.
550 lbs, fire lined, and can hold 20 long guns, or 13 long guns and 3 shelves.
A lil advice, have 4-5 friends help you move it, i did most of the moving myself, and had my neighbor help get it in my house, ended up f#cking my back up lifting it over the threshold.
My wife named the place red neck mart.

Yup, dirty as had been shot, maybe only test shot but the oil on it was coming off on my hands black, on his, and on the sellers.

His mother was buying it as a GIFT for him going into the army, he is in AIT for EOD at Ft Hauchucha. I saw the pitting my self and the DIRT. There are only 2 M4s there, check em out if you dis beleive.

... I took this week off from work. So I paid a visit to the store today. For me, it's a 41 mile trip.

Observations

  • Huge and diverse products selection

  • Moderate pricing

  • Friendly sales associates

  • Knowledgeable firearms salespeople

  • Free, nice Grand Opening coffee mugs

  • Real time fishing reports

  • ... I just got home from a great fishing trip to Big Lake with some friends yesterday so I bought a new rod and reel.

    ... Also ordered a new S&W Model 500 (.500 Magnum) revolver.

... It's a good thing that place is so far from me. It acts as a spending governor!
