My wife and I shoot trap there, occasionally. Most of the time, we shoot rifle and pistol at Ben Avery.

I used to, but the last time I was there the line made me feel uncomfortable.  I will have to join to get some more Garands from the CMP, but that is about it.

Used to shoot in Usery before it was closed off.

Shot there once with a friend that lives in Chandler.  Liked the place, but it is really far to drive.  I drive up to Ben Avery pretty fast, but the the range officers are a bunch of Nazis.  Blah Blah, can't draw from the holster, blah blah.  I am wearing my duty holster, dammit!  You think someone could be trusted to practice what I have been taught to do?

So I usually drive up to the desert north of Carefree Highway to shoot.

I go once in a while. I would like to find a safe place in the desert to shoot at my own pace.

... Enjoy Tuesday evening steel matches when my schedule affords. The range is just a few miles from me.

... Really prefer to go shooting with small groups of close friends and family in remote desert spots near Queen Creek.

I would also like to find a safe place in the desert near Phoenix to shoot.  Anybody know of a place?

me and a buddy(guy with guns and free ammo and 4x4) go out to four peaks and shoot in some of the washes. We have been checked out buy MCSO and it is allowed if you are being safe, but remember it is monitored by MCSO. I was doing rapid fire with my HS2000 and 5 blazers swooped down asking about FULLAUTO FIRE. Ha haha. Then they watched and learned a few new Tac Reload techniques.:)

My son and I are at Rio often.  But the open desert would be nice.  Anybody do any plinking in 37B?

Table Mesa Road, a few miles north of Anthem on I-17.  Go back aways, and there are some great spots.
