Not the same thing IMO. I am all for capitalism and free trade, but there is also a lot of people taking advantage of the panic, and to me that is greed, not simply an economic change. To me, what is happening is an attack on all gun owners right now, and we need to stick together as a community. Hiking up your prices to take advantage of your fellow gun owners who are customers, to me, is wrong. One of our fundamental beliefs/arguments is the right to firearms is a fundamental constitutional right, no matter what class of citizen you are. The current price gouging going on is fucking over everyone who can't afford 40+ bucks for a freaking magazine. You can go give them your business and I won't think anything of it, you have your opinions as I have mine. There are many other places that haven't hiked their prices, and while they may not be in stock, mags are still being made and will be back in stock when they get their next regular shipment in. Those are the places I will give my business.
No...it is exactly the same thing. If you invest in product x and some variable changes that effects it's value then guess what?t You sell where price meets demand.
It works the other way. What if the dealer had bought the mags at $7 a piece but a day after he bought the mags, company Y announces a reliable AR mag that will sell for $1.
Are you going to buy the $7 dollar mags with mark up on them or the $1 mag. (assume that they are more or less the same mag). With your logic you are a hypocrite if you would buy the $1 mag.
The 2A is government recognising keeping and bearing arms is a god given right not a right that the government grants. It has nothing to do with supply and demand economics. "In theory" it says
government cant keep people from keeping and bearing arms but says nothing about private business not being able to charge what they see fit for their goods.
You had/still have the right to buy or make as many mags as you like. Your financial situation is your responsibility and you get to reap the benefits of your actions...both good and bad.
