I live in Ohio obviously...

I have a buyer for a pistol that I have for sale and the buyer lives in West Virginia.

What must I do legally to transfer the pistol to him?

Please provide me with a link to the info.

Thanks!

ETA:  This will be a face to face sale.  I actually work with the buyer.

It must go to a FFL dealer. Try the link listed below.

You can't sell face to face, if he's a resident of another state, not a pistol....ever. Has to go through FFL, as noted above.

Well that's what I thought but just wanted to make sure.

So, he and I just need to take it to a FFL in WV, correct?  Or do I have to take it to a FFL in Ohio first?

IIRC, you just take it to the WV FFL and he logs it in (from you), then out after he transfers to your buddy...he'll have to do the NICS check, btw.

You can also send it to his FFL if it's easier to do.

Thanks a bunch swingset and thanks to everyone else for their help.

I have been busy all evening getting stuff ready to go to the range tomorrow and just did not have the time to do the research.
