There are no "good" CHL classes assuming you mean the 12 hours you need for your Ohio CHL.  These have to be approved or at least recognized courses so 99% of them are NRA Basic Pistol fleshed out to 12 hours by BS war/police stories to include a couple of hours on the range putting 18 bullets into a paper plate at 7 yards (or is it 3 yards?).

Buy this "training" by price and get your CHL.  Then expect to spend $300 - $400 for some real training, preferrably from a Gunsite trained or adjunct instructor.  This course should run 2 days minimum and include a night shoot.  3 days is usually better.

Note that good training is not dependent on high round counts.  Putting 2000 rounds down range in two days, with poor instruction just reinforces bad habits.  I'm pretty sure a week at Gunsite uses less than 1500 rounds over a long week.

Nationally recognized instructors like John Farnham, Jeff Gonzalez, Gabe Sanchez, and Giles Stock usually conduct courses at least once a year within commuting distance.

Actually you can attend the Gunsite 250 course and barely know what end of the barrel the bullets come out of.  At the end of a week you'll be a top one percentile shooter to include the police and military.  Since the last day and a half of that week is move and shoot you can pick up the basics at most good 3 day courses.  You're not going to be clearing buildings or wadis alone.  ;)

Jeff Gonzalez was scheduled last July in Marysville but cancelled.  Too bad, he runs a good 3 day course from the feed back I get.
