Attorney General, Republican Primary

The primary contest among for Attorney General, an office which will open in 2006 election because current Attorney General Jim Petro is making a bid for the Republican nomination for governor, deserves early focus.

Among Republicans, an announcement today by anti-self-defense State Auditor Betty Montgomery that she is entering this race forces an apparent three-way GOP primary contest between Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien and State Sen. Tim Grendell.

As a former state representative and now state senator who earned our endorsement on two previous occasions, Grendell's support of the 2nd Amendment's individual right for security and defence is exceptional. Grendell has been a solid supporter of many sportsmen issues and supports the right of self-defense. He understands the issues facing Ohioans and is well trained to provide solid service as Ohio's Attorney General. As such, Buckeye Firearms Association is proud to endorse Tim Grendell for his party's nomination to be Attorney General in the 2006 Republican primary contest.
