Have friends and family just across the state line now days and was wondering on the gun laws?

A few pointers to focuse my checking would be appreicated. For know, have noted the following:

1: No over 30 round mags unless for a machine gun (see number 3).
2: My CCW permit is not good, as in Michigan
2a: Thus need to check how does one need to have a hand gun unloaded in a PU?
3: NFA of course need a 5320.20 to move over state lines.

Bring whatever you got, we let you have it... fire the 32nd round in your semi-auto firearm with out changing mag between 31 and 32 is "technically" in violation of Ohio Revised Code... ALL NFA IS EXEMPT from this silly law.

Probably correct, somebody here can do better than I on this question,

2a: Thus need to check how does one need to have a hand gun unloaded in a PU?
Put it in a case and forget about it.. stick with the lawful origin-destination rule (McClure-Vollmer Act)

3: NFA of course need a 5320.20 to move over state lines.
Correct there, you should have your 2006 yearly paper done and approved by now...

1. Wrong. Magazine size is not regulated in Ohio. Loading more than 31 rounds into any weapon makes it a "machinegun" under Ohio law but this is only an add-on charge you can plea bargain off when you're arrested for robbing the local convenience store.
2. Correct. Any bozo can get a CHL in Indiana. In Ohio we need training -- if anyone thinks NRA Basic Pistol is really training.

Regardless, it's the reason Ohio won't recognize Indiana (who recognizes any other state like MI does).
3. Firearms must be unloaded and in locked trunck or locked containers separate from their ammunition.

FL and UT non-resident licenses are easy to get by main and they're recognized in Ohio.

Use my home address if you want, told ChuckP he could if he wanted.. don't think he ever did..

Millers is the local AR15 gathering spot, Warren Co Sheriff no longer bother us.

Use your family address, and fill in the blank with "travel back and forth to family property in Ohio during 2006"... thats what I do for my WV paper, The Indiana paper to shoot ISSMC as a primary, and forget the rest of the year, you'all do seem to have any funshoots/hose fest , us SW Ohio people have to have them... we can't seem to get you Indiana folks to come make noise with us
