Hello everyone. I`m new to this site.  I  belong to a couple of other sites but I really like this
one.  The hometown  part the most. That is why I am making my first post here. I  am in N W ohio
about 20 miles S E  of Toledo out in the country.  I have a 100 yrd range  in my back yard but am
all ways looking for another place to shoot. I am going to join the sandusky sportsman club in the next month or so. Anyone out there a member? I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

Howdy! Welcome aboard.

I'm opposite in SW Ohio so I can't really help with places near you to shoot.

Scooter308 and I are members at Sandusky County.  It's a nice range.  They are adding a 500 yard range, and already have a 100/250 range plus a 50-60 yard range.

I probably live pretty close  to you, I am in the Woodville area.

Yes you are close to me. I live just outside of Elmore. I saw in the paper that they are having a
sks/ak shoot sunday. Is that open to the public or just to members ?

You can't swing a dead cat down here in SW Ohio without hitting a gun nut.
Not that I'd swing a dead cat.

I only swing live cats, and then just until I yell "pull".

SW Ohio rules!

Welcome to the forums from another member of the Sandusky County Sportsman Club.  It's a nice range and I hope to see you out there.

Fulton county NW Ohio country boy here!

You have a 100yd range? Wanna meet up (seriously)? I've considered joining the Sandusky Sportsmans Club myself. I can only shoot out to about 50 yards on my property.

I think those Sandusky county shoots are open to the public.  I don't get to go to much as they are on the weekends.  I will always work weekends.

I miss the topography of Knox/Licking County- that's home to me... the FLAT land up here is torture!

NW Ohio here also. (Northwood area, I grew up in the Martin area)

What's the story with Sandusky Sportman's Club anyway? I'd LOVE to have a 500yd range to shoot on.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I  think I`m going to like it here.

LPDtactical: Are you a LEO? My son is a partime LEO at two different place`s. He`s trying to get
on full time on the township one.

SubnetMask: Yes I can shoot 100 yrds. but it not the greatest setup. To shoot 100yrd I have
to do it off the deck on the back of the house. My ole-lady hates it when I shoot the big guns off
of it. so usally only do that when she is not around. She doesn`t say to much if it`s just a 22LR
or my 17hmr. I haven`t been shooting at all lateley because the migants are picking the tomatos
right now .

tepo583:  You have to be a NRA member to join the club. It cost a one time join up fee of $100
and $50  a year. I think this is one of the best clubs in NW Ohio. They are having a sks/ak/m-1
shoot tomorrow (sun sept.25) it starts at noon ,is open to the public and I believe it costs $5
I have a side job to finish up in the morning and will try like hell to be there.

Welcome madman--From SE OH here. 300yrd range off the back porch and I use it often, fortunately the little woman shoots as much as I do. We usually just get out a rake and shovel to clean up the brass.
