That is really weird. I have ordered many from them and just received 6 20-rnd M1A mags from them a couple weeks ago, after the ban expired (new 20 rnd mags).
????? I would try again.... Dan |

I thought it was illegal to use them, not possess them?
And isn't it 31 rounds? Just when I was starting to like Ohio.... I need to move back to Idaho.. |

The are illegal to insert into the firearm, therefore use. Owning them seems to be fine. ALot of mags that hold more than 30 rounds are owned in ohio. I've got a few 90 rounders that I've never even loaded. They get to rest in their boxes alot.

Hell, may SAR-1's came with a 40 round mag. They were shipped from the factory like that. The distributor was in Ohio.
I have't used it because I do not like the weight distribution of the rifle with it loaded. |

I also noted that cabelas has a warning for Ohio to check local laws before ordering ammo,that was never there before,I wonder what has changed.

Midway anti-gun. A little extreme don't you think? Other places have better mag prices anyway. Just get them there. |

My understanding is that you can't legally use a weapon that hold over 31 rounds. That means 30 round mags plus the one in the chamber is perfectly legal.

No. They won't sell items to me that are perfectly legal to own. The only reason not to would be because you don't want people to have them. They = no better than Brady, to me. |

Or maybe avoiding product liability law suits that would put them out of business. How many people would loose their jobs if they were to be destroyed legaly? What about the millions in NRA contributions???? This is about rediculous. |

The point is that they ARE legal and they would NOT ship them. I agree with this fellow and would be pissed too. Good thing there's plenty of other places out there to buy decent mags.

THe explanation that they gave me when I called was this:
Their computer system is not currently set up to distinguish between parts of Ohio that have mag capacity limits ( like Cincy) and the rest of the state. To remedy this, they have put a halt on sales of mags to Ohio. I explained that there were no laws prohibiing me from owning these mags in my ares,but was told that for now,they could not ship them. Too bad, I had a really good discount that expired on Monday. Still, I did manage to spend several hundred dollars there. |

I have to agree. That's total bullshit. I'll be sure to write them a letter complaining about their policy. Without a state level prohibition on hicap mags, it is up to the consumer to ensure they adhere to local law, not the vendors. Hell, even though my mailing address is typically Cincinnati, OH I don't live within the city limits and therefore the municipal ban does not apply to me either.
