A couple years ago, Walmart said that they would stop selling military ammo.
I’ve been in three Walmarts in Orange County, and one in San Luis Obispo….

No ammo of ANY kind, and the lockable ammo cases have been repurposed
for other uses.

Does your Califonia Walmart sell ammo?

I don't believe any Walmart in California sells ammunition afterwards. Some Walmarts did sell for a short while after Prop 63 became effective and background checks for ammunition were required. Then they decided to stop selling all handgun ammunition and "military" ammunition, and clearanced all that out. I remembered having to do the background check to buy the on-clearance ammunition. Then Walmart decided to stop selling ammunition in California altogether, and clearanced all that out. What didn't sell off the shelves got sold to Turner's.

I think the one in American Canyon still sells shotgun ammo. That's it.

Here in Ridgecrest, no.  No ammo of any kind.

So I stopped shopping there.
