Last night the city council preliminarily approved a "Gun Harm" initiative that has nine components that negatively impact gun owners in the city.  The rationale behind these items is vague and ill conceived.  The council caved-in to this political move by the mayor to implement "feel good" laws to enhance his position and visibility.  The discussion lasted 1 hour on the 16th and 2 hours last night.  While a couple of council persons did ask a few good challenging questions, final vote to accept this initiative was unanimous.

You can go here to see the details of this proposal.     www.sanjoseca.gov/Home/Components/News/News/2943/4699

If you live in San Jose, I challenge you you communicate with your council person and the mayor to express any concerns you might have.  It's not law yet, so there is still time to oppose this initiative.
