Wife and I were thinking of visiting tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be so-so; I'm hoping that means a bit less traffic but being the Friday before Halloween I suspect it'll be nuts. We tried making a reservation at the Bayou and they said it was full so that gives me no hope, but the wife really wants to go. Will it be bad enough to just forego and just do something else or should we risk it? Hope some locals chime in. You work tomorrow, Danby?

Thanks my CA buds

Last Friday was real light until mid-afternoon.  Disneyland will close early for the Halloween Event, but California Adventure will stay open until midnight.  No passholder blockouts so about mid afternoon the passholder after school, dinner and shows crowd PLUS the early entry Halloween crowd will be coming in.

Saturday should be relatively light since a lot of the passes are blocked out, but both parks are open late.  Midnight for DL and either 10 or 11 for Cal Adventure.

I start late both days, great timing for a guy that has mornings on his preferences.  Too late to see most of the costumes coming in on Friday.

At least I'm not closing trams on Friday.  Load kids up on candy, junk food and run them on thrill rides, then tell them to sit still on the trams, bleeerrpp  ralph..  Code "V" on tram 8, call custodial.

Thanks for the heads up. We decided to skip it this time. Between not feeling 100% and wanting to go later in the day which means the crowds, we decided to stay local. I read your advice on the other Disneyland thread and we will make a go of it sometime in November to see the Christmas decorations. We always liked to see the Halloween setups over the years but we noticed it started to get insanely crowded the past few years. Good luck on Halloween. Hope none of the kiddies hurl on you. I never realized tram duty could be such a hell but it makes sense now. Dangerous job, man!

Well I was on my break when the drunk got escorted off the trams and pointed out along the walkway.    The only real danger was to the possums, they were more than usually dumb about wandering on to the tram route tonight.

It was pretty busy today, add on a special event at House of Blues and World Series and College Football at ESPN Zone traffic and parking probably not enjoyable most of the day.
