Hey guys, i know there was a recent similar thread on here, but the map got deleted. With some time and aplinker's data, i've updated the google map so those of you in California have a easier time purchasing a lower receiver without being told they're illegal!
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=110511628437393084202.00047c5f26ebdfe69062f&t=h&z=6 The last map was open to be edited by the public, but it was deleted by someone so i decided to make this one private. If you feel a specific location needs to be edited (address change etc), please email me (my email is on the web page i linked) and please provide a reason so locations are not accidentally deleted. Shout out goes to aplinker for a lot of the data used to make the map Thanks -RawImpact Oh and sorry if this is in the wrong section, this is my first time post and time on this forum. Just thought i'd spread the information. |

move to hometown?
it is easyer to list the few that you can't have vs the (nearly) thousands of oll out there. |
|
if you are reading this, you have given me brief control of your mind.
|
What are you talking about? i listed dealers selling OLL since not many stores sell them here in california.

No OC Armory?

Nothing in this post should be considered information posted in an official capacity. It is the authors personal opinion alone.

I think he's talking about the models rather than the FFL's selling them.
This is the correct place to post this. I'll look it over and add it to the thread tacked to the top of the CA home town forum. |

I'm willing to bet the original was destroyed by anti-rights folks. Heavens forbid that someone follow the law and buy an OLL.

yes i was confused as to what was going on here earlier. my humblest apologies.
a few paces in the north state you could add are - Shooters Paradise 1407 Colusa Highway Yuba City, CA 95993-9092 (530) 673-4100 Gunsmith and Mercantile 488 West Onstott Frontage Road Yuba City, CA 95991 (530) 673-7955 Great Outdoors 2971 Churn Creek Road, Redding, CA 96002 (530) 222-0400 – (530) 222-1497 |

label maker was out of tape, action was open. he was laying in a pile of empty label cartridges and pealed label backing. RIP DrFrige

Do they carry OLL in stock?

Gunsmith and Mercantile- some times, always has some on order. call and put your name in on the next incoming batch. they will take a min to come in. i did this for my two spikes. Great Outdoors- they usually have a few around. again over priced though. last time i was in there they had a cmmg 308 in there. if you are in the market for a stripped lower in the north state, you might look at buying from spikes and transferring through kevin at gunsmith and mercantile. he is listed at spikes as a dealer. $89 for lower, $15 shipping, $65ish for the transfer. comes to $170 but still better than the $200 + you see at some other places. he charges a bit more for the transfer than most but you are not buying a gun off the shelf so he is not making a sale (profit) on the lower. if you buy the lower from him, you will get the transfer for $40ish. hope this helps. |

Thread revival. Have some questions.
What are the benefits of purchasing an OLL? Are OLL’s ready to assemble or is machining required? Are there still OLL dealers? |

I think this is kind of out dated now, OLL is short for Off List Lowers.
They are either stripped or complete lowers that are legal to buy, 80% lowers can be bought also. You have to get a zip code for it (80%) from the DOJ now if you plan to finish them. |

View Quote Oh, I see. I’ve bought stripped lowers from turners outdoorsman. I didn’t realize they were referred to as off list. |

Yep, OLL means that they were never named in the original CA assault weapons ban like Colt, Armalite... one way to get around the ban.
