Hey guys,

I have a friend who is looking for a Springfield XD 4" 9mm down in the Thousand Oaks area.  I met up with him and went to 3 stores and everyone except Camarillo Shooters Supply was slim pickings.

Are there any good gun shops down there for buying a pistol?  Even a place with a good inventory so he can look at more than the Glock's and Sigs that Camarillo had.

Thanks.

Greta's Guns and Fort Courage are on LA Avenue in Simi and Uncle Pauls is in Oxnard I believe. And that is about all there is.

Uncle Pauls in Ventura and Fort Courage in Simi are pretty good. Greta's has a lot of handguns but they are assholes. The owner wrote an article in support of the Assault Weapons ban - don't give him your money. You could try Shooter's Paradise in Oxnard, they aren't bad, but they are expensive.

+1 too....these are pretty much your choices.

Another new option if you are willing to drive to Angeles Crest Range is http://ffl.shooters-edge.com/   Not sure what he is planning to have for inventory, but Bruce is a great guy and a great supporter of the shooting sports.  His primary motivation for starting this business is to help out folks who are tired of all the attitude at existing gun shops.
