i just bought a 1911 through a private party and was wondering if that counted as my one handgun for thirty days, i thought i remember reading somewhere that private party transfers didn't count but i just wanted to be sure before i tried to buy the other .380 at the shop that caught my eye. The FFL that did the transfer said that he did not know

Consignment and private party transfers don't count. |

You can buy more than one per month, you just can't take delivery... it'll just sit at the FFL but you own it.
