Are revolvers like the Colt SAA excempt from the drop test?

single-action revolvers are exempt from the approved list, as are C&R guns...SAA's may qualify twice.

More info from the DOJ website: for a single action revolver to be exempt from the testing requirement it must have a barrel at least 3" long, at least 5 shot capacity, and either a) originally manufactured before 1900 and are classifed as C&R, or b) have an overall length of at least 7.5 inches.

You should be good to go.
