????????as in receipt for locks..

cause one day i went to police station to get my car outt aimpond and they were offering free gun locks so i took like 4 of them...  

these arent ok to bring ?

Try the CA hometown forum. Gun laws vary from state to state and in most states you don't need that.

Having formerly lived in CA, you need to have the receipt for the locks to prove that they were purchased for that particular gun you bought from the dealer.  And they need to be on the approved list for that particular gun as well.  That's why it is easiest to get them from the dealer when you make the big purchase.

Its funny though cause I always forget about having to purchase a lock....I picked up my AR lower yesterday and the guy was like "how do you want to pay for the lock?" and I was like what???? DOH!
