Officials identify dead in fatal Laguna Niguel crash
Friday accident killed two

Officials today identified two men who died Friday after the vehicle they were riding in spun out of control in Laguna Niguel. They were identified as Roy Frausto, 19 of Garden Grove, and Jose Farias Jr., 21 of Mission Viejo, the Orange County Coroner’s Office said.

The two-door Honda was heading south on Alicia Parkway near Kite Hill Drive in Laguna Niguel when it rolled at 5:37 p.m., the county Sheriff’s department reported.

Farias, the driver of the Honda, died an hour after the crash at Mission Hospital.

Frausto died at 7:03 p.m. at Western Medical Center Santa Ana.

A 22-year-old male passenger, who was partially thrown from the vehicle, remained in critical condition Saturday morning, Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Ted Boyne reported.
