Maybe, but it sure feels good. Next year will be fun too- no matter who wins it. Now maybe everyone else in the country will shut up about who should have been in the championship game. Noone else could have hung in with either of us. Good year USC! Jim |

I went to OU but I'm damn happy to see USC go down.
It was like Bill Clinton being our Presodent with USC being National Champs. Now Texas represents the US. And thats more like it.

great game.....glad I made all the right bets
vince young should go into the draft while he's hot...he'll be #1 or #2 easy. Matt should have gone to the draft last year..he woulda got the 50 million deal alex smith has now (eventhough the 49ers suck). |

Yeah I'ld feel much better bragging about it after all the braggadocio around here if there wasn't a little problem with 6 of those points being made AFTER the ball was dead and the play should have been called dead. But if you need to win that way, what can we say.

If I'm not mistaken: 2003 LSU 2004 USC 2005 Texas Doesn't look like a three-peat or even a REpeat to me. And don't gimme this crap about "waaa waaa waaa. We won the AP in 2003." Everyone signed on for the BCS knowing full well what the rules were. LSU is the 2003 BCS champ - end of story. |

Hey, I think I see a guy with a rifle in that tower!
Both teams made mistakes, but my hats off to Texas. They wanted it more at the end - stopping USC on 4th down then coming back to score. I don't know why USC didn't have a linebacker shadow Young at the end of the game, it was obvious he was tearing apart the zone. But how about Reggie Bush's TD. He jumped at least 25 feet through the air and hooked the ball thru the end zone. He took off about the 4 yard line and ended up 5 yards deep in the end zone. They should have also had him in for the 4th down play, at least to cause some confusion. Oh well, congrats Texans.

Well, I was at the game and I can tell you a few things... First off.. HALF of Texas was there!!! It was hard to tell but there could have been more Texas fans then SC... no chit... Second.. the Texas fans were much more into the game then most of the SC fans...
Sucks they lost... Now the security report.... You name it, they were there.. I saw LAPD, LASD, CHP, FBI, ATF (wtf?), and other unnamed armed people. Spotted 3 sniper teams.. So you know there were at least 5... And watched a garbageman drop a security gaurd in one hit.... Fun to be there |
