i moving to the puente hills area outside LA after a brief stop in nevada, figured the life there wasn't for me.  well, i got a new job in CA starting in mid-jan, so i guess that's a better reason.

anyone recommend a good place to shoot out here?

the closest indoor range should be La Puente shooting range or something like that.

for outdoor range, go up Azusa road to the Angeles national forrest, and there is San Gabriel Valley gun club, or even further in, Burro canyon.(BurroCanyon.com ?)

Never been to Lytle Creek, but have heard it's pretty reasonable about things.  Also, if you want to take the time, there are a lot of places out in the desert.

There is a range in Brea also.  It's about 4 blocks from where I live, but I haven't shot there in years.  I tend to make a day of it and go out to the desert and get some off-roading in at the same time.

i just went to la puente again last night..  they wanted to see inside each and every single box of ammo..   and he repeatedly ran a magnet through FMJ ammo for literally bout 15 seconds per box..  i couldnt believe how stupid that was.  he wont even let me bring my own targets in there..

Hey welcome to the San Gabriel Valley. Puente Hills mall is where I shop. I lived in Hacienda Heights for 7 years.

We host alot of classes at Burro Canyon, and I am pretty happy with their setup.
