what is happening is New Orleans goes totally against teh US Constitution.

and we thought california was bad.

Before you raise hell and look uninformed (I used to use the word ignorant) make sure you correctly identify why you think the actions are unconstitutional.

Is it an unconstitutional taking?  ie the taking of property without due process or compensation by a Federal Agency  

Are Federal agencies taking firearms?  this might be a 2nd Amendment issue.

But if STATE AGENCIES are acting within the bounds of the Louisiana State Constitution, they may be acting legally.

Remember, that regulation of firearms is generally a STATE power. And this might be legal (although extremely distasteful and stupid) under the state laws.
