Is the FN 5.7 on the approved list and available in CA?

nope. besides, you're limited to ten round mags (factory capacity is 20)

Would they actually allow that gun here? I know the rounds aren't AP per say, but because of thier design, they will go through police vests. Because of that, I'd assume CA would never allow it.

 It's my under standing that FN only sells the 20rnd mags to LE or Military.  They do have the none penetrating hollow point type rounds out for general sale, check on gunsnstuff.net.  It should get the ok for CA.
