Here is a petition one of my friends sent me on the AWB.  I should be the 19th person to sign.  Who knows it might help :)   www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/986188850

Earlier this year there was a bill to redefine "assault weapon" as being a rifle with a magazine holding ten or more rounds - all other evil feature crap discarded.  Never made it out of committee.

When was the last time someone has taken a petition like this to the state? Is this the first time? Is this the first time since Arnold has been in power?

sure but to get in you gotta bring an (assault weapon) ha ha, what a joke.  The most amazing thing is that everyone I have talked to (democrats/liberals) who are for the AWB all say basically the same thing "I don't think people need or should have assault weapons, nobody needs a gun that fires fully automatic."  They have NO clue what it really is and when I explain to them that you can't own a rifle because of the way you hold it they don't believe me and say that its ridiculous.  The media really makes the AWB sound like its doing a great justice for public safety and that the rifles that it bans are a lot more dangerous than normal ranch style rifles.  Just blows me away.

what the NRA/CRPA should be doing is trying to get a state wide Proposition on the ballot that would repeal these stupid gun laws.

getting the signatures to pass it would be difficult but the easiest part, getting people to vote for the Prop would be harder, and if it passed it would end up in the courts and prolly overturned, just like Prop187.

We should start a petition to have the liberal infested San Francisco and bay area and LA and its surrounding counties formed into there own new state where they could then legalize pot, ban every weapon ever made, legalize gay marriage, ban hunting, increase welfare benefits, set-up methadone clinics across the street from schools, and just generally fuck there new state up like they're continually doing to CA now.

Im tired of these over populated demo/liberal mecas influencing the politics of the rest of the state...

whooo.. ok im better now.  And no offense meant to you members in these areas.

what we also need is some way to get this petition out like at all the nonfungunshows here. I'm pretty sure most everyone that comes to will sign in.

honestly I've got no hope for this petition.  voters in here only believes what the media tells it so there's really no hope at all.......we can just try what we can and IF GOD LOVES us, then we will win this pathetic war on "AW's"

Idea..... might be a hard sell, but what if as you walk into a gun show, you are asked if you believe in the 2nd... if so you sign, you walk in.  If not, you don't sign and you go home.    Have them distributed to all the CA state nongun-nonfunshows, and viola... we have a lot more signatures.  Same thing with ranges, some ranges require you to sign in, when doing so, the range master asks if you believe in the 2nd.   If you do, you sign.

It will take a grass roots effort and some funding.  Maybe McClintock?   I think this could work or are there just to many sheeple who also happen own firearms?
