if my aw are registered do i need to reregister them as .50s? did anyone get a letter from doj about this? thanks

According to somebody I talked to at DOJ (forgot his name), he said No.  Since it is already registered as an assault rifle, changing calibers makes no difference.  I specifically asked him about .50 BMG and he said it was cool.
