I'm not sure, but don't 1911 owners usually like the fact that the 1911 can still fire without the mag in it? I thought they wanted that when it was first designed?

On a side note, it WAS designed in 1906 or so.  Does it seem odd that soemthing we've had for (exactly a century since it was designed to when the ban takes place) so long would be banned and deemed unsafe? Armed forces trusted the gun from 1911 until like the end of WW2...and some folks still carry it in teh military. Now it has become unsafe? This is klassik kali eh?
