I went into the Lake Forest Big 5 today.

They have both Winchers Ranger Model 94's and Marlin 1894s on sale for $299.99

The Winchesters have 16" brls.

The Marlins are 20".

I looked at a Marlin 1894H44Mag. Nice rifle, a steal at $299.99. It took alot of impulse control, but i didnt buy it. I already have lever guns in .30-30, .38-40, and .45-70.  If i get another lever gun it's going to be a 16" Marlin 44 mag, a 20" Marlin .41Mag, or a Stainless Guide gun. Big 5 didnt have any of those models at the $299.99 price.

Dang...
